One of the best special education e-books out there is the 2008 Journey Across Time, but it so happens that the entire text is online in pdf format. Here, for example, is chapter one and here is the entire e-book + all of the extra ancillaries such as the geography e-book, an atlas and more. Also, here is the Journey Across Time activity e-book.
